2. National Coordinator -Uganda
Despite the gloabl covid-19 pandemic that put the whole world on its knees, at KKOVC we have been able to celebrate success.
Kiara graduated in her Bachelors in Agricultral Business Administration. She was tasked to do for us a research about “A sustainable value chain in Rukungiri and Kabale”.
At KKOVC we are really proud of her for the quality report she produced.
We are delighted that Kiara van Berge - a Bachelors student of Agricultural Business Administration at the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences decided to complete her graduation research with KKOVC. We are proud of her on the progress she has achieved thus far.
KKOVC was delighted to guide her in her field study in Uganda, visiting farmers and getting first hand information. This was crucial for her research and for our organisation.
KKOVC is also eyeing collaboration with Masters students from Wageningen University and Research. The first student is expected early 2020.
Another opportunity to tap in for research benefits this will bring to our programs and communities at large.
KKOVC is excited to announce its upcoming collaboration with The Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands.
KKOVC will open up opportunities for University students to do their end course research in Uganda.
The first student expected next year 2019.

Welcome back from the 2018 farmers training in Kabale and Kashambya. Big ups to the Adam Turyamureba, Alex Bagambagye and Stella Meulenbelt (Work in Light). This farmers training took place on 10th and 11th march 2018 in Kabale and Rukungiri districts respectively.

The 2017 farmer trainings were held on 15 / 16 december 2017.
Invited were our partners from the USA (Kinosol), farmer trainers from Kampala and Kabale. The main topics were Environmental protection and Plastic mulching.
Plastic Mulching was handeld by Seguya Richard, a reknown farmer trainer and a farmer himself.
Plastic mulching is the latest technique used in mulching where water is preserved, no need for weeding , guards against pests, etc.
